Alder is a flirty mix of science and art. Inspired by the photographic process of cyanotyping, Alder features an alder branch print, albeit in softer colours than cyan blue. The typical alder clumps of the black alder are clearly accentuated in this drawing. The use of several colours – some bright some more understated – creates a series of shadows.
